Message from the Dean
Dear visitor
Welcome to the Faculty of Pharmacy, Kerman University of Medical Sciences (KMU)
It is a great honor for me on behalf of our academic staff, current and past students and an enthusiastic group of administrative colleagues to introduce to you the Faculty of Pharmacy, Kerman University Medical Sciences (KMU).
KMU’s faculty of Pharmacy, now celebrating its 36th anniversary, is the sixth Iranian Pharmacy School in the order of establishment and stands almost at the same national rank in terms of quality. While teaching Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) is our prime national mission, three MSc programs (Toxicology, Medicinal Chemistry and MPharm), and five PhD programs (Pharmaceutics, Toxicology, Biotechnology, F&D Control, and Pharmacognosy) are also thought here. Add to this, many research based PhD programs which are run at our research centers.
We are gifted with a set of accomplished professors in eight core departments of Pharmacology-Toxicology, Pharmacognosy, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Food and Drug Control, Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacoeconolmics. We are also supported by a rich resource of professors from other departments of KMU to provide you with the cutting edge of contemporary Pharmacy education. Various laboratories, Library, three pharmacy-oriented research centers along with the University’s Central Lab are hosted by the faculty to make sure everything needed for a convenient education is at closest proximity. The faculty houses some of the nation's top researchers and has already educated some of the brightest students in the nation with priding achievements.
KMU is an international university and our faculty is also open to all sorts of international collaborations from student exchange to joint degree programs and joined scientific events.
As an ex-student of this school, I do very much hope to have the chance of proving all the above mentioned features right on your visit to our campus located by the Haft-Bagh highway, south of Kerman City.
